“It was indeed a pleasure to release the book India’s Money Heist authored by Mr. Anirban Bhattacharya. The fact that this book is based on a crime that was solved by the team led by my dear friend Mr. P Vijayan IPS, Inspector General of Police only makes it extra special. But now thanks to Anirban this epic case is documented forever, and is a good study material for upcoming police officers.”
When asked about why the author chose this story to write about, Anirban said, “The audacity of a man who pulled off this near impossible crime and the thrilling police investigation is what fascinated me to write about this case. And the case has so many twists and turns that it feels like you are watching a movie!”
Unable to meet the team physically due to the pandemic in 2020, Anirban began researching the book via multiple meetings over zoom where he interviewed P. The story is so magically told that he will not let you go from the first page till the end.”
This is Anirban’s second true-crime outing after his debut bestseller The Deadly Dozen: India’s Most Notorious Serial Killers (Penguin).
